Articles
Manuscript Formatting Requirements:
Texts submitted to The Near East and Georgia should adhere to the formatting standards of the Chicago Manual of Style (http://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/tools_citationguide.html).
Authors are free to choose between the Author-Date and Footnote citation formats for their manuscripts. However, the same format must be followed throughout the entire manuscript.
Peer Review Process
All submissions for the Articles section undergo a double-blind peer review based on initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by at least two peers. The peer review process can take two months on average.
Publication
Successful local contributions to the Articles section are published full-length in Georgian with an extended English summary (at least 1/3 of the Georgian text).
Successful international contributions to the Articles section will appear together with an extended Georgian summary. If an article is in another language, additional English and Georgian extended summaries will be required with English and Georgian abstracts (100-200 words).
In case of international contributions, the journal may offer, at its discretion, to provide the Georgian translation of the English summary with its own resources.
